Marmora Nero Antico tile by Casalgrande Padana

Versatile tiles by Casalgrande Padana feature on Dezeen Showroom

Dezeen Showroom: the following five tile collections – including ones that mimic marble and terrazzo – are among recent releases by Italian brand Casalgrande Padana.

The result of a combination of aesthetic research and cutting-edge technology, the brand's Marmora Nero Antico tiles are modelled closely on real quarried marble.

Tiles in the Marmora Nero Antico range come in various levels of three-dimensionality

The tiles can be specified with subtle surface detailing that enhances the realistic appearance of the striations. Alternatively, users can choose a smooth, flat finish.

Any of the finishes can be applied to tiles of varying sizes and shapes that facilitate a variety of applications.

Brickworks Nuances Verde Persia is a vivid blue-green colour

The brand's Brickworks Nuances collection includes a tile named Verde Persia that is rendered in an energetic turquoise colour.

Tiles in the range have a highly pigmented, glossy appearance and a rectilinear shape that can be laid in various orientations and patterns.

Atelier Rubino tiles have an understated, subtle effect

Atelier Rubino tiles have flat, dark pink colouration that Casalgrande Padana released to compliment and contrast their more intricate wood- and stone-look surfaces.

The rosy-coloured tiles can be used for cladding both indoors and outdoors and come in a range of sizes.

Terrazzotech Bianco mimics the look of terrazzo

The brand created a terrazzo-like white tile flecked with translucent and black shard-like shapes named Terrazzotech Bianco.

The distinctive monochromatic tiles can be used both indoors and outdoors and have anti-slip and temperature-resistant properties.

Tiles in the Le Ville Valmanara collection are also informed by Venetian terrazzo

Another terrazzo-like tile by the brand is Le Ville Valmanara, which has a dynamic appearance thanks to its mottled patterning.

The tiles have a grey background layered with light and dark shapes, and are available in square and rectangular formats.

They can be used inside and outside

Since 1960, Casalgrande Padana has been designing and manufacturing ceramic and stoneware tiles and surfaces.

Headquartered in Casalgrande, Italy, the brand has evolved over the course of the last 64 years, and now occupies six factories across the country.
